Se Peth Lang

The Long Path – England, Wales and Scotland

We have called this trek Se Peth Lang – our attempt at an old English translation of ‘the long path’.

There is no designated continuous end to end track across the UK although there are many excellent marked trails. Starting 16 April 2018, we hope to walk some of these trails to cross England, Wales and Scotland.

While we will occasionally hop on a bus to link up the walk, in general we will be trying to make our way across the UK on foot taking in some of the UK’s best scenery, tea shops and pubs.

The preliminary schedule/fantasy route is:

16 April to Mid May – Northern section of the South West Coastal Path

Mid May to Early June – Cotswold Way

June  –   Offa’s Dyke then along Llangollen Canal to Stoke on Trent

 July  –  Pennine Way

August – Ayrshire Coastal Path, Great Glen Way and West Highland Way
